You have heard, “The mind is a wonderful servant but terrible master,” right? Or, “Use your mind; don’t let it use you”? It means if you control your mind, it will act as you want. The mind is a bad master if it has control over you to go its way.
If we do not observe and monitor our thoughts, our minds direct us, i.e., determines what thoughts we entertain be it negative thoughts from our past and present or negative beliefs, then our lives will be full of difficulties and unfulfilled desires.
So, always try to control your thoughts and enjoy the benefits of having your mind serve you.
But it’s not easy to still the mind
Yes, the mind is the biggest enemy, but it can also be your best friend. The master guides you how to train your mind so that it becomes your friend. Ignorance is like darkness where the child gets scared of the dark shadows and begins to think they are ghosts.
A mother brings the light, and the ghosts disappear. Similarly, Shree Radhe Guru Maa works like a mother, bringing the light of knowledge, which helps you overcome the ghosts of lust, greed, prejudice, and hatred. With the light of knowledge, we get clear insight and how to use the mind and yet be our master.
Spiritual teacher Shree Radhe Guru Maa said, “The horse is just like our mind; it is good if controlled, but dangerous if it becomes the master.”
Now, the decision is yours. You have to make your mind a master or a servant. It is the way how you control your feelings and how positive or negative you act in situations.
