Humans are doing so many things that are either good or bad for the body. There are those whose diets and lifestyles cultivate things detrimental to the well-being of their bodies. On the other hand, there is someone who purposely makes it a point to develop and strengthen their strength.
Your body is Temple of Holy Spirit
When you think about the traditional definition of a “temple,” it becomes clear why we should think of our bodies in the same way. A temple includes the following elements:
It is a place dedicated to worship.
It includes a divine presence within it.
And, it is a place reserved for a highly valued function.
So, what does this mean concerning your body, and your treatment of it?
Your body is a living temple of the Holy Spirit, unique and unrepeatable from that of anyone else. Your body is God’s gift to you, a one-of-a-kind reflection of his nature.
Shree Radhe Guru Maa says, “Our body belongs to God. It is His property, not ours. God built our body, and He expects that to use it the way He proposed for it to be used.”
God’s Spirit lives in our body
When God puts His Spirit inside us, our body becomes a temple of God, a residence for His love. When we saw someone damaging a temple dedicated to God, wouldn’t you consider that a crime? Of course! But you abuse and vandalize God’s temple, your body, when you deny it of rest and sleep, put too much stress on it, and fail to take care of it.
“Your body is precious. It is our vehicle for awakening. Treat it with care.”- Buddha
Respect it as a body God made
In conclusion, we must treat the human body with respect because God made it in His image.
