There isn’t a person amongst us who don’t have insecurities — some are just better at dealing with them, or perhaps hiding them. Insecurity is an uncertainty, anxiety, lack of confidence, self-doubt. When we are insecure, it tends to make us more suspicious; it makes us try harder to move. It opens the door to fear. Because we are insecure about ourselves, we miss the self-confidence to be true to our real nature.
It is God who opens the doors for you
Where insecurity makes us nervous about missing out, God opens doors for us that no man can shut. When we understand God is in control of our every step we don’t have to worry about missing out.
“Wherever insecurity makes us want to push others away, God holds us tight in His hands.” – Shree Radhe Guru Maa
These are some steps to overcoming insecurity.
Recognize the problem and make an effort to overcome
Most probably, we worry because we are insecure about our standing in society and amongst friends. When we are aware of misplaced insecurity, it becomes much easier to try and overcome it. This requires awareness and honesty about our motivations and actions.
Try to see Spiritually
The way to overcome insecurity is to stop seeing yourself through society’s eyes. Spirituality can help you see yourself through forgiving eyes, loving eyes, joyful eyes, appreciative eyes – a view that will make you see that you’re ok.
